Artist Nuno da Luz, winner of the COAL 2024 Prize – ‘Transformative Territories’ mention, is looking for participants for his project ‘Feral Songbook,’ which he will present on November 20th at the Museum of Hunting and Nature, as part of Sans Réserve, the new event dedicated to art committed to living beings, created by COAL.

Through a sonic pedagogy manual imagined by the artist, this vocal workshop, based on collective improvisation exercises and somatic practices, explores the ‘singing territories’ of green parakeets as a prime mode of collaboration and polyphonic cooperation. Like a flock of birds, the participants’ voices will help map out a common space.

This new type of repertoire aims to restore our relationship with the urban environment through attentive and eco-sensitive methodologies.

It is a collective practice for which no prior training or musical experience is required. One only needs to listen and use the voice as a tool for spatial and social orientation.

Every voice counts! This is your chance to contribute to enriching the ‘Feral Songbook’ with your own experiences as a listener of city birds.

Practical information and schedule:

  • – Mandatory participation in two 2-hour workshops on Tuesday, November 19th, from 6 PM to 8 PM, and Wednesday, November 20th, from 2 PM to 4 PM.
  • – Final performance on November 20th at 6 PM, as part of SANS RÉSERVE.
  • – Location: Museum of Hunting and Nature
