RESIDENCY UPDATE – Research creation of Martha Fely in INLAND

Martha Fely completed her first residency period at Inland, marking a significant step in her artistic journey. The residency provided an invaluable opportunity for her to familiarize herself with the space, connect with the team, and immerse herself in the rhythms of daily life in the village.

During her stay, Martha participated in several stages of the village’s cheese production processes, gaining firsthand insight into one of the community’s core activities. This hands-on experience deepened her understanding of the practices central to Inland’s identity.

Beyond observation, the residency also allowed Martha Fely to share her own expertise with the Inland team, fostering a meaningful exchange of knowledge. This collaborative approach not only enriched her residency experience but also strengthened the bond between her creative vision and the village’s traditions.

Martha’s time at Inland was a powerful example of how artistic residencies can create spaces for mutual learning, cultural exchange, and creative inspiration, setting the stage for future collaborations.
