RESIDENCY UPDATE – Research creation project by ArtMill: Fuad Alymani

Palestinian artist Fuad Alymani completed the first part of his residency in June, using the more-than-human species surrounding the site as inspiration for the freedom of his people. He spent his time in the gardens to draw the surrounding plants and snippets of life at the Mill.

“The idea of plants growing in absolute freedom captivates me, as I hope that one day my people will live like flowers, free to grow and prosper in peace.” Fuad Alymani

He will continue the second part of his residency during the Creative Assembly, to produce a mural on the walls of the Residency space “Houseboat”, which is part of the Inter-Species Refuge site.
